Some Android phones* may unexpectedly stop from recording your movement when it runs in the background - for example, when the screen is off or while using another application. This happens because certain phone brands apply aggressive battery-saving policies that automatically "kill" background apps to save power.

Even though we use proper Android background services and notifications, these manufacturer-specific settings can still interfere and shut it down.

*Brands affected: Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and sometimes Samsung.

To record your track properly, we recommend:

· Allow the app to run in the background.
· Exclude it from battery optimization.
· Enable auto-start and allow background activity.

Unfortunately, these restrictions are not part of standard Android behaviour and vary by manufacturer. Without adjusting them, your phone may stop the recording after just a few minutes — even without warning.

It usually takes less than a minute and only needs to be done once.
