MEADOW Starting the protocol

Before entering observations, it is required to enter general parameters regarding the protocol. Parameters are protocol specific. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.

See wiki section Web interface > Protocols > Preparation and data > Add observations > Starting the protocol for details.

When done,

Click NEXT to start entering observations, or
Click NO SPECIES WERE SEEN (NEXT STEP SKIPPED) to end and close the protocol if your census did not record any individual.

MEADOW Entering observations

Enter observations as if entering a list. See wiki section Web interface > Protocols > Preparation and data > Add observations > Entering observations for details.

To enter observations:
1. Select the species you are recording.

2. Select the Atlas code icon. See correspondence of icons at Mobile interface > Entering records > Additional information panel > Entering additional information on mapping protocols, but be aware exact definition may change from country to country.

3. Click on the map to indicate its position (see image below as an example). Each sighting is indicated with a different point colour. The active one is highlighted in blue and can be reposition by clicking and dragging. If for whatever reason (ie. sensitive species/location) you do not want to indicate the exact position, click on the yellow icon next to the species name and skip atlas code and position steps.
