Registered users have access to more functions than unregistered ones. For example, they can share observations. See a list of all differences at Getting started.

Registration is free and fast. To do so, go to your local portal, or to that of any other participant organization. See a list of all organizations at Various >Local partners. Examples will be drawn from the French portal Faune-France. Click register (see image Registration Step 1) and register again (see image Registration Step 2), and fill in the form (see image Example of registration form). Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.

Name

Please, enter your real name so you can get credit for your contribution. Your name will be visible along with your observations unless you indicate otherwise. To opt out tick the check if you want to be anonymous cell. Note that your real name will still be visible to administrators and coordinators, or in case of publication, as stated in Terms and Conditions.

Birthyear

Please enter the real year you were born, as we need it for legal reasons and to identify users when two names are identical. It will never be public.

County and Municipality

We do recommend you to provide your real address because it will target maps and important information regarding sun and moon, and latest observations.

Email

We need a real and active email address. Here you will receive a password to log in, and coordinators and administrators will use it to contact you regarding confusing data. Please always keep it updated. You can change it at Web iterface > Gettings started > Customise website. Your registered email address will be visible to other registered users unless you opt out by ticking the corresponding cell. Administrators and coordinators would still see your address and will contact you regarding confusing records. Note if you decided to submit your records anonymously, your email address will automatically be hidden to registered users.

You will be able to modify your data at any time (see section Web interface > Getting sarted > Changing personal data, password or email). When done, click Register at the bottom (see image Example of registration form).

Once the form is submitted, you should read carefully our terms and conditions. These are your binding contract to us. You need to agree in order to continue with the registration process. You will then receive an email with your password. Make sure it does not go to your spam folder. With your username (the email address provided while registering) and the password you received, you can now start sharing your records!
